The Knights Code

13 June 2012
--------------
A knight is sworn to valor.
Well the knight takes an oath to have great courage in the face of danger.
His heart knows only virtue.
However, the virtue is something engrained. I do not think a person can learn ethical behavior unless there is at least a seed at birth. We have this seed in all of us.
His blade defends the helpless.
Far from using the sword to cause confusion, to abuse and/or to create calamity, the knight uses it as a weapon of defense, not necessarily of his own self, but of the helpless and those without a defense.
His word speaks only truth.
The truth of his word requires a lot of thought before he speaks
His Shield shelters the forsaken.
This means those which society has cast aside are embraced by him
His courage gives hope to the despairing.
The hope that he gives is “what would be considered impossible by the despairing soul is in fact possible with courage.”
His justice undoes the wicked.
Far from being in league with the wicked, he uses his attributes to confound their schemes.
His image brings peace.
He has cultivated a reputation beyond repute such that his very image brings peace
His code breaks the darkness,

It is this code which sheds light upon dark places, feelings or actions.
His legend brings light
He is nor concerned with being remembered during his lifetime, but the people who come after him will remember him and gain wisdom.
